Hereforagoodtime is proving to be a valuable ring side purchase for buyer Tim Harrison. The now four year old has had 10 starts for a 1st, 2nd and most recently a very impressive third at Sandown Hillside on Wednesday the 8th of December. The Peter Gelagotis trained filly is a Highden Park graduate from Karaka 2019 and is a full sister to the multiple stakes placed filly Harlow Gold.

Tim is predominantly a breeder, he owns stallion shares and over 20 broodmares whilst running an International Meat Trading business out of Auckland. His first yearling purchase in over 20 years was Hereforagoodtime. A fan of Tavistock, he had two homebred yearlings by the late, great sire to sell at the 2019 Karaka yearling sales. As luck would have it, Tim was in the ring to get a line on  how the Tavistocks were selling just as Hereforagoodtime went up for auction. The Tavistock filly out of Belongs In Lights (Belong To Me) was sitting on a bid of $45,000 which Tim thought was a bargain for a filly with her pedigree so he put up his hand and gained a well related yearling for only $50,000. He came back to the stable and had a look at the filly properly for the first time and was thrilled with his purchase, knowing the huge residual value in his buy. He retained 25% of her and leased the remaining to a group of owners from the Peter Galagotis stable.

Hereforagoodtime broke her maiden this year winning at Cranbourne in April over 2080m. She is a filly that loves her work according to Racing Manager/Assistant Trainer Manny Gelagotis "She is certainly a horse we have plenty of time for and she is a character for sure". Getting her to settle in races has taken a bit of time, but after yesterdays performance they are excited for the Autumn. She's a filly that will do well over 2400m and likes some "dig in the ground" according to Tim. Manny has high regard for the filly and feels she is definitely a city grade mare in Australia.

Her dam Belongs In Lights has a So You Think colt at foot and a yearling colt by Tavistock at Rosemont Stud in Victoria. Highden Park sold the full sister at the 2021 Karaka Yearling sales to Dean Hawthorne, now a 2yo, she is called Beauty Prize and is to be trained by John Sargent for Pinecliff Racing.
